Question 1 |
The most important question in the whole climate debate is: Will temperatures stop when emissions are stopped?
I have already done this calculation and the math is here, as well as a calculator programmed in javascript that makes it easy to evaluate the math. It shows the consequences of all possible climate sensitivities. It clearly shows that the temperature does not stop when emissions stop. The result is crucial for the formulation of the country's climate policy.
You climate experts can support this math and this calculator or make your own derivation and calculator to facilitate the evaluation - just as I have done.
This is the most important issue in the whole climate debate: The Swedish people want your derivation or confirmation of the one that is already here.
This message is missing in the climate debate and the math should be quite simple to to come to clarity.
The specific task and challenge is:
Calculate the Earth's temperature evolution under climate sensitivity=6 if all emissions are stopped today.
This is a personal appeal to the following climate experts:
Frida Bender, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer in Climate Modelling, Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University Rodrigo Caballero, Professor of Climate Modelling, Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University Deliang Chen, Professor of Physical Meteorology, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Gothenburg Thorsten Mauritsen, Senior Lecturer in Climate Science, Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University Jonas Nycander, Professor of Physical Oceanography, Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University Michael Tjernström, Professor of Meteorology, Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University Erik Kjellström, SMHI Johan Kuylenstierna, Professor Markku Rummukainen, Professor of Climatology Björn Sandén, Professor, Innovation
For you climate scientists who have devoted many decades to climate projections, the task must be simple, probably a few minutes' work.
I will put your findings in the video that is under development and the manuscript is here, Many thanks for your help on the most important climate issue of all. The Swedish people must urgently take note of this as it will affect future elections and the whole direction of climate policy.
Many thanks! An answer to the question has been received from Rodrigo Caballero, Professor of Climate Modelling, Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University, and a reply from me. https://ppm.today/index.html?rodrigo_caballero.htm
